Weekly blog
My weekly blog this week is about the upcoming movie Star Wars: Episode VII. The film is in the processes of begining to be filmed but the creators have given an opportunity to the public to be in the movie. You can enter this cool competition just by applying online. Thw raffle will be helping a benefit a charity UNICEF. The winner will have the chance to travel with all the cast and crew, meet the cast and crew, and be put in hair and makeup and wardrobe to appear and be a part of the movie. The walk on roll is said not to be a budget buster, but how do we know that's true? Well we don't know but something bad may come out of this. Why is this important to us film students? Well this is important to us for our future of our film career for ideas. This sounds like a really good idea and can help to gather ideas for the future to promote movies.

Weekly Blog post
My weekly blog this week is about the new upcoming movie magic mike 2. The film is a sequel to the hit movie magic mike. It is said that the film will be in theaters next year July 2015. Channing Tatum, the main actor has let out the plot of the film already. Was this smart of him to do? It is said that the movie is inspired by two conventions that Tatum attended when he was just 19. Is it smart to trust his ideas?
Well I do think that this important to me as a film maker because it imforms me about the ideas of the movie and can help me decide if the film is worth watching.
I do think that once more info on the move comes out I will probably decide if it is a movie worth watching and I suggest everyone who is intrested in the film to do the same.

Weekly blog post
This week on my weekly blog it is about the new movie coming out called Godzilla. CNN has said that the new film might make you feel like a kid again due to the fact that kids have grown up watching Godzilla. This new film has brought out to be about a $160 million dollar film. The actors in the film are not really focused on but the story the most. It is said that unlike the last film Godzilla shows more of his monster side with a bit of his dark side. Yet, the movie got a rating of a -B.
I feel like this is relevant to me as a film student because I should know what to look foward to before going to see a film. I do think though that this film would be worth seeing and would recommend others to see it too.

Weekly Blog
This week my blog will be about the memoriam that occurs during the oscars to recognize the good people that have died recently. One of the deatha was a comedy filmmaker Harold Ramis that was 69, and the other was a camera assistant named Sarah Jones that was 27, who was struck by a train while filming. Though these people aren't very known. Many people have sent in call and concerns saying they want to braodcast her during the live event. This is important because it shows that even though you may not be known that well everyone is important and plays a big role in the film industry and these people should all be recognized. They should fight to be shown and to make them known. I respect the people that are trying to make this happen and hope that they do make this happen. We shall find out on sunday!

Weekly Blog, Week 3
My blog this week will be about Barkhad Abdi, and how he was nominated for best supporting actor. From what I have heard and read this man, not long ago was just a limo driver. Not that long ago his whole world was changed. An audition was held for parts of the upcoming movie Captian Phillis and the 28 year old decided to take a shot at it since he has had a bit of experince in the film industry working behind the camera. The recieved the role of Tom Hank's co- star. Not only did he land the part but he did a great job and earned nominee. I haven't seen the movie myself but by the sound of it he did a pretty well job and I do belive he does deserve the nominee.

Weekly Blog, Week 2
This week for my blog I will be talking the nominations for the Academy Awards again. This time I will be talking about the movie Wolf on Wall Street. The Wolf on Wall Street was nominated for many awards. One was for the leading role for Leonardio DiCaprio. I did agree with this nomination, I recently went to go see the movie and I have seen a lot of DiCaprios movie and I have to say he did an excellent job with this one and truly believed his character, even though I'm used to seeing him as this loving caring guy in romantic movies, he really did step up and proved he was meant to play that role. Jonah Hill was also nominated for supporting role, I thought Jonah was the perfect supporting role because he's this goofy guy you wouln't think would be so successful, it was a perfect combination and he worked great with DiCaprio. Other nominations for this movie were for Directing, Best Picture, and Writing( Adapted Screenplay). I agree with the Directing nomination and Best Picture, because the way it was shot in the way the camera was used way it was framed really helped with moments when he was so far away from his goal and had weak moments when he wasn't so powerful. The picture was great it really also does deserce that award. I do disagree with the nomination for Writing, because I do think there could of been some changes in the story itself, some parts towards the end could of been fixed to make more of an impact. Yet, besides that I think this movie desreves mostly all of the nominations and do hope they win them.

Weekly Blog, Week 1
My blog this week is about the nominations for the academy awards. One nomination that stood out to me is for feature animated film. The croods was one to be nominated for this category. I watched the croods but didn't watch the other nominated films but from seeing the croods I can say that is was a great choice to have been nominated for featured animation film. The film was all you could ask for in a kids film. Even though I'm a teen I was an amusing film to watch with my family. I strongly think that it has a very good chance at winning the award and hope it does.
