Film progress week 2

For this weeks progress with our film we have been successful. We started our first say of filming on wednesday. We originally scheduled it for tuesday but ran into a few problems and moved it to wednesday. During that day we went to the house we are shooting at and worked on the first couple of scenes. We did a good job so far in the shots we got and our camera man got good angles to have a variety of shots to switch off of. Then we ended the day off with the scene where he plays his Xbox. The next day the guys in our group decided to start working on the foley sounds while naomi and I helped edit. The next days we are scheduled to shot is this following week and again we hope to get a lot done and do a great job on out film.

Film Progress

For my film group we chose to go with Gustavo's script. We have started fixing mistakes in the script and perfecting it to be the way we want out story to go. We spend time at the location we want to shoot and took pictures so we have a better idea to do out story board. We only have two characters in the film and our main character will be Eric. The other will be played by my mom as the mother. We plan to be filming by next week if we finish our script and storyboard on time. The days we plan to film will probably be Tuesday,Wednesday, and Thursday of next week and the week after that. Our scripts did have an amount of mistakes but we all got online and fixed it together. The group have all cooperated and have all put in there work so if we continue this way I hope to be done on time and to have done a well job. 

Well of course by this time I'm sure everyone has heard of Netflix. Yet, though they have a million viewers that pay monthly to use their service, how else do they make their money? If you haven't seen yet, Netflix now has they're own TV shows that they produced and only play on there also like Hulu. A survey says that about half of the viewers watch the Netflix series. On some research that was done it is said that Netflix raised their price target from $280 to $330. About $150 million was used to make the TV shows. Yet, from a source it is said Netflix Shows will  " cut churn by establishing expectations about future potential offerings, a strategy borrowed from premium cable networks like HBO." This can help them a lot money wise and help them expand more then they already have.

This article caught my eye because literally all I watch is Netflix and knowing how they make their money or learning ways they expand interest me to always keep up with their new ideas to help them expand more.

As a consumer and film student it concerns me that Netflix does well because being able to watch as many times as I want and with a whole variety does concern me because without it , where would I watch movies?

Although Netflix's produced TV shows have become a big hit ,will their other new inventions be as good as this one?
